And the COLOR Is....

It's finally done and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! It only took me about 2 1/2 months to decide on a color for the credenza but I did it!. Which if you ask Mr. A that is record for me! Since for the last 8 months I have had 5 color swatches painted on our bedroom wall and 4 on my craft room wall that I can't seem to decided on. I know I know I have issues...but don't we all? Anyways, back to the credenza! Here are some pics of the transition from old dirty credenza to the amazing piece it has become! Did I tell you I LOVE IT?!?

Before Pic...Cute but needs a little TLC
Painting Stage..
Don't worry I didn't play it safe and go for white. That's just the primer.
I went for a blue gray....Blue Spruce from Lowes to be exact!!
I did however just paint the bottom blue and stain the top a chocolate brown.  I did this for two reasons. One I had seen a similar piece on Pinterest so of course I had to do it....and two I knew that the type of paint I used wouldn't hold up to my constant holiday decor changes that I tend to do.
The top came out really shinny for now. Which I don't like but as it ages it will get less shinny like our dinning
room table we did a couple years ago.
Here are the doors being painted I just love the details!!
This is what made me fall in love with this piece.
Mr. A snapping a pic of me. Don't think I didn't see you...
Mr. A installing the hardware. Yay!!! Last step!!!
P.s. Lesson learned during this project was...If you decided to use existing hardware that is older than you....make sure to create individual bags for each drawer and label them. I did this for cabinet but not for the drawer pulls. Eekks! Who knew that the screws might be all different lengths?!?! Not me!

Obviously I'm nooo where close to having it decorated. Just throw some items on it that I had around the house. I just couldn't wait any longer to show off my first big DIY project. Thinking maybe some wall sconces, some shelves, pictures, and more little nick-nacks. Hopefully this won't take as long as picking the color but I doubt it.
