New thrift store find to refinish! Only 20 bucks. Going to be our credenza in the entryway/dining room. Now the question is what color to paint it??? Thinking green but we will see.

Gobble Gobble Day!
This year we hosted Thanksgiving at our house and I was super excited! I couldn't wait to DECORATE and HELP make Thanksgiving dinner. That's right ladies!!! I said HELP make Thanksgiving dinner because I have the most AMAZING and WONDERFUL husband that love to cooks! So thanks to him Thanksgiving was super delicious and non-stressful!!
I just love a long table at Thanksgiving!
Placeholders my niece Maddie made! Aren't they so cute!!!
It's become a tradition that she makes them every year. Last time she made super cute turkeys.
Yummy appetizers made by Mom, Kim and the girls. They were delicious!
Adam cutting the turkeys. This year we did a taste test! Regular Turkey vs. Heritage Turkey (more wild is the best way to describe the heritage). I think we ended in a tie?!?! Each where yummy and had their own taste and texture. My vote was Heritage! Next year we might try a deep fried turkey. Watch out!
Thanksgiving was also extra special because it was Adam's Mom Birthday!
She is such an amazing person! Happy Birthday Mom!
Family Photo! This year Mom all gave us scarfs to wear in our family photo.
Such a cute idea! What a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Summer Time In Mammoth
I have to say its been many years since I've been to Mammoth in the summer and a first for Adam. I feel like Mammoth is one of those forgetful places for a summer time visit as it always reminds you of just a winter destination.
We had a fabulous time fishing, shopping, hiking, and hanging out with the Seymour's and the Jacob's family.
I have to give kudos to the two mommy's that weekend (OK a little to the daddy's too). They were troopers and went fishing with us at 6am and hiked to Devil's Post Pile in the rain, all with the kiddo's in tow.
Go MOMMY'S!!
Boys preparing for the big fishing day!
On our hike
Yes...after our 2nd attempt at fishing that day we each finally caught a fish! Thank goodness!
Can't wait to visit again next year!

Looking Back...
So I was looking through some old photo today of when we first moved into our house and came across these!!!
Our BACKYARD! I forgot how horrible and empty it was. Nothing but DIRT, WEEDS, concrete, and MORE WEEDS, and yes that's my over enthusiastic hubby mowing our dirt weed backyard for the first time! I will always love this photo and this moment...one I will never forget! He was so excited to have a backyard where he could plant a garden, dig a pond, or plant a million trees.
Now fast forward 2.5 years. Thanks to my green thumb hubby and a little tiny tiny help from me. We have an amazing backyard. Which is still nowhere near done by my husband's standards but is amazing in my eyes!

Anniversary Trip - Part 2
Welcome to Napa! All we have to say is ahhhhhh... it was so relaxing and beautiful there! Exactly what we were looking for...great views, amazing food and of course great wine!
View of the valley
At our hotel lobby called Avia. The place was amazing!
A definite must if you go.
1st stop Robert Mondavi. A picture must...as its the picture they place on their bottles.
Where all the juices happen
Lunch at Bottega in Yountville (Micheal Chiarello's restaurant a Food Network star)
In front of my new FAVORITE sparkling wine place Domaine Chandon and yes we rode bikes there. Looks likes fun right!?!?! Looking back at it now we laugh but we weren't laughing on our 10th mile that day when we were trying to return ours bikes on time. Suggestion...wear real shoes and stay local...lol
Cute mushroom rocks that I hope to eventually make for our yard.
Dinner on the patio at Bouchon. A french restaurant owned by the famous French Laundry down the street. So Yumm!
Heading to another winery - this time we had a driver...no bikes!! Thank goodness

1st Year Anniversary Trip - Part 1
Can you believe it's already been a year? We can't!?! It seems like yesterday we were just stepping of that little putt putt plane in Belize to say "I Do." So we decided to hop back on a plane to celebrate our 1st year as Husband and Wife! We didn't travel far this time or out of the country...just took a quick 45 minute plane ride to San Fran to spend a week in Napa. It was amazing!! Just what we wanted...a little bit of wine, tons of food, and amazing scenery! I can totally see us living in a quaint little town like that someday....
First Stop San Fran!! We spent a few days here just doodling around...
Couldn't pass up a stop by the Sea Lions. Always one of my favorite spots here! They were celebrating there Anniversary as well. These big old guys have been gracing the docks of San Fran for 21 years now!
About the only trolley picture we got....we weren't very good at taking pictures this part of the trip...lol | ||||||||||
An amazing soul food placed we found called FarmBrowns for Sunday Brunch! Yum!!
We then rented a car and said Goodbye San Fran....HELLO Napa!
Be back soon to post more pics.

Holiday Rewind!
So if you haven't noticed this post is way behind (once again...lol) but I wanted to rewind and give a quick recap on the holiday season as it's always such a wonderful time of the year!
For Thanksgiving we took a trip to my parents house with the dogs. Looking at the photos now you would think we went for Christmas with all the snow we had.

The day we arrived we hit a full on BLIZZARD which was so bad we thought
we would have to stay in a hotel overnight but we made it!
The next day we couldn't resist taking the dogs out to play in the snow.
Rue loved it...Duke not so much - poor guys paws kept freezing together.
View from my parents backyard
This picture pretty much sums up our trip peaceful and relaxing, well minus the traveling there and back...lol Can't wait to visit again!
On to Christmas - O...
This Christmas was extra special because it was the first time Adam and I had Christmas together at our new house and as a married couple. As you can tell I had so much fun decorating. The "JOY" was this years crafting project I tackled. Adam did reminded me to think about storage next time before starting such a project...oops! Love ya Babe!
I know this picture isn't the best but the thing I enjoy most about the holidays is all the wonderful cards you get in the mail. There is just something about it that makes the holidays extra special, and reminds me how much family and friends mean to me!
